👶 Baby Update

Size: A quarter

Baby is now officially a fetus (no longer an embryo). Muscles are forming, and baby is making small movements. Taste buds are developing. All essential organs are in place.

💕 What She's Going Through

Nausea may peak this week. Fatigue is relentless. Her waistline may start thickening even if there's no bump yet. Mood swings are real.

💪 What You Should Do This Week

  • Handle the housework without being asked — she's exhausted
  • Start thinking about how/when to announce to family
  • Research NIPT testing (non-invasive prenatal test, usually offered weeks 10-13)

Are you sure you should eat that?

Unless it's raw fish or unpasteurized cheese, let her eat what she can keep down. Food policing is not helpful.

🧠 Dad Hack

Do the dishes, take out the trash, and start a load of laundry before she asks. She's noticing who helps and who doesn't.
