👶 Baby Update

Size: A AA battery

Baby's vital organs are all formed and starting to function. Tiny fingernails and toenails are growing. Baby can swallow and kick, though still too small to feel. The tail (yes, there was a tail) is gone.

💕 What She's Going Through

Veins may become more visible (increased blood volume by 50%). Nausea may start to ease for some. Round ligament pain can start. She might be constipated.

💪 What You Should Do This Week

  • Discuss genetic testing options (NIPT, CVS) — understand what they screen for
  • Start planning a babymoon — second trimester is the sweet spot for travel
  • Help her stay hydrated — buy a nice water bottle she'll actually use

🚫 Don't Say This

You're only 10 weeks, you shouldn't need maternity clothes yet.

Bloating is REAL. Her regular pants might already be uncomfortable. Comfort > timeline.

🛒 Gear Tip

Belly bands are a first trimester lifesaver — they let her wear regular pants unbuttoned.

🧠 Dad Hack

Order a pregnancy pillow now. She'll need it soon and you don't want to scramble when sleep gets uncomfortable.
