Due date week! Only 5% of babies arrive on their exact due date. Baby is fully cooked and ready. Skull bones are not fused — they'll overlap during birth to fit through the birth canal (genius design).
💕 What She's Going Through
Beyond done. Everything aches. May be emotionally all over the place. If no labor signs, she may discuss induction with her doctor (usually offered at 41 weeks).
💪 What You Should Do This Week
- ✓Be her rock. She's frustrated, uncomfortable, and anxious. Just be there
- ✓Have conversations about induction preferences in case baby is late
- ✓Do something to take her mind off waiting — movie, walk, cooking together
🚫 Don't Say This
“Still pregnant?”
This is the most annoying thing anyone can say to an overdue pregnant woman. Just... don't.
🛒 Gear Tip
Everything should be ready. If it's not, you have hours, not days. Get it done.
🧠 Dad Hack
The waiting is the hardest part. Fill the time by meal prepping one more batch of freezer food. You'll need it more than you think.
