The heart is forming and will start beating this week — though it's too early to hear. The neural tube (future brain and spinal cord) is developing. Baby looks like a tiny tadpole.

💕 What She's Going Through

Morning sickness may start (despite the name, it can hit any time). Extreme fatigue, sore breasts, heightened sense of smell, mood swings. The first trimester is brutal.

💪 What You Should Do This Week

  • Call and schedule the first prenatal appointment (usually around week 8)
  • Stock ginger ale, saltine crackers, and ginger chews for nausea
  • Take over cooking duties if food smells are triggering her

🚫 Don't Say This

It's all in your head.

Morning sickness is caused by HCG hormones. It's very real and very miserable. Validate, don't dismiss.

🧠 Dad Hack

Keep crackers on her nightstand. Eating a few before getting out of bed can prevent morning nausea.
