👶 Baby Update

Size: A TV remote

Baby's ears are functional — they can hear your voice, her heartbeat, and digestive sounds. Bones are hardening. Baby is about 4.5 inches long and moving a lot.

💕 What She's Going Through

The bump is undeniably there now. She may feel baby's first movements (quickening) — feels like flutters or gas bubbles. Skin may be itchy as it stretches.

💪 What You Should Do This Week

  • Start talking to the bump. Seriously. Baby can hear you and will recognize your voice at birth
  • Help research car seats — you need one before the hospital will discharge you
  • Check your health insurance for delivery costs and plan accordingly

🚫 Don't Say This

I'll wait until the baby is born to bond.

Bonding starts NOW. Talking, reading, playing music — baby is listening.

Our car seat finder at dadchoice.com/tools/car-seat-finder matches your vehicle to the right seat.

🧠 Dad Hack

Read a book out loud to the bump before bed. Baby hears your deep voice better than high-pitched ones. It becomes a calming sound after birth.
